Why Kurt and Kyle Busch Act As They Do
This is a post on Facebook that sums up well why Kurt and Kyle Busch act as they do and likely because of a mother who apparently did not raise her sons properly.
******************************************************************************
We southern ladies should (show) Kurt and Kyle's mother some of our southern hospitality!
This week, Kurt Busch found himself, once again, the subject of public scorn when a video (link) surfaced on YouTube entitled, “Kurt Busch Rages During Interview.”
In the video, Busch is shown standing in the garage during the season finale Sprint Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where he had taken the No. 22 car just a few laps into the race for mechanical repairs.
As captured on the cell phone video, Busch apparently grew impatient waiting to be interviewed by Dr. Jerry Punch for the live ESPN TV broadcast. He then conducts a profanity-laden tirade about Dr. Punch and the situation in general.
This episode was just the latest in a long series of ugly incidents involving Kurt Busch or his younger brother Kyle since the two began racing at the Cup level – Kurt in 2000 and Kyle in 2004.
Though both talented racecar drivers, the brothers have demonstrated, through their own words and actions, a profound sense of entitlement. They have been rude, crude, hostile, impatient and arrogant toward fans, competitors, the media, and even their own team members and crew chiefs.
Kurt and Kyle have also had their share of run-ins with law enforcement while driving in the Sprint Cup Series.
In 2005, Kurt was detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and cited for reckless driving after a confrontation with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department a short distance from Phoenix International Raceway. Sherriff’s deputies who pulled Busch over described him as “argumentative and uncooperative” and a police report quoted Busch as telling officers, “You're only doing this because you're a Jeff Gordon fan." The charges against Busch were later reduced to speeding and he was fined and ordered to do community service.
Earlier this year, Kyle was caught driving 128 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone on a two-lane road in North Carolina, telling officers who pulled him over that the high-performance Lexus he was driving was "just a toy." His wife was in the car at the time. In court, Busch pled guilty to speeding and 'no contest' to reckless and careless driving. As was the case with Kurt, Kyle was fined and ordered to do community service. His driver's license was suspended for 45 days.
These traffic violations are just two of the more flagrant examples of behavior that indicates both Busch men have a sense of privilege and a disrespect for authority and for other people in general. There are countless lesser incidents of the brothers' rude and belligerent verbal assaults at the race track, on their team radios, and in numerous live television interviews. Sunday's event with Kurt and Dr. Punch was just the latest entry on a lengthy list of shameful incidents.
For a long time, I struggled to make sense of the Busch brothers' deplorable outbursts and to understand why they have such a chip on their shoulders.
But, the answer became clear in 2008, when I read a Mother's Day article on NASCAR.com about the some of the drivers' moms.
In the article, writer Raygan Swann explained that Gaye Busch, Kurt and Kyle's mother, would be participating in a Mother's Day tribute at Darlington Raceway and would be introduced with her sons during driver introductions before the Cup race.
According to the article, Mrs. Busch was concerned because the previous weekend, Kyle was involved in a crash with Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Richmond. "There will be a lot of hurt feelings this weekend, it will be very hard on me walking across the stage in front of Junior Nation," she said, hinting at her disdain for Earnhardt Jr.'s fans.
Then, Gaye Busch continued: "I've always told Kurt and Kyle to keep their chins up and let it roll off their shoulders, get used to it. Sorry my boys weren't born in the South and sorry they win."
There you have it. If you want to know where the Busch's attitudes come from, you don't have to look any further than their mom.
This air of resentment was voiced again by Kurt Busch last year following a wreck involving Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson. "The guys at Hendrick are pretty boys and get People magazine covers and that's their job," Busch said. "My job is to go out and race cars and that's what I focus on."
Never mind that pretty-boy Johnson was in the process of earning his fifth straight Sprint Cup Series championship.
After Kurt Busch's latest video transgression, his team, Penske Racing, issued the obligatory apology for his " inappropriate actions." It sounded quite similar to the letter of apology written by Kyle just a few weeks ago for his "actions" in a Truck Series race, in which he hooked Ron Hornaday's truck in the right rear and put him headfirst into the wall. That incident happened under caution.
If you're waiting for Kurt and Kyle Busch to change, my advice is, don't hold your breath.
Their inexcusable behavior has been excused for years by their own mother, who believes that people don't like them because they "weren't born in the South" and because "they win."

Miscellaneous
Here is something I posted on Facebook at Ryan Newman's Facebook page:
Ryan,I hope you do not believe this junk "science". It is part of an agenda by radical environmentalists to impose totalitarian socialism on America (what their friend Obama is trying to do now) along with a bigger government and poorer people. It is an assault on freedom, capitalism, and the American way of life based on fraudulent claims by questionable "scientists" of human-caused "climate change" along with myths about disappearing animal species and disappearing animal habitats.
Pam,it's not too late because it's not happening and never has happened. You have been hoodwinked by the lies of environmental extremist wackos.
Another Facebook gem :
Kyle(Busch) is a soon to be unemployed d*****bag with a severance package being a bag of M&M's stuffed up his ***. Lug nuts not included!!

We Agree: The Chase Stinks
Some wise and candid observations about the so-called Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup from Facebook posts :
This chase system sucks. You can sit around and screw around for 26 races and then go and win a championship where guys like Edwards, Harvick, Kenseth heck even Gordon and Johnson race every week and come up short on the championship. This year it's not working out for Johnson tho. It would be a shame if Edwards, Harvick, or Kenseth didn't win this championship this year.
·
You sure got that right.
Of course, ESPN jumps defending the Chase at every opportunity. When forcing something unpopular upon the public, just make sure to have the media in your pocket... as displayed by corrupt governments since 1918!!

The Last Straw
Jimmie Johnson's crew chief Chad Knaus was caught red-handed at Talladega by a fan who happened to listen to radio chatter between Knaus and Johnson. Knaus told Johnson to wreck his car if he won last Sunday's race at Talladega so they would not fail post-race inspection, in other words Knaus would not be caught cheating again. Even after NASCAR had the obvious evidence, they said they would "investigate" but did not indicate any penalties would be administered. What was there to investigate? The recording proved conclusively that Chad Knaus was plotting to avoid getting caught by NASCAR over his unscrupulous activities. Knaus should have at the very least been suspended if not had his employment terminated. The 48 car should have been suspended the rest of the season. NASCAR as of this writing plans issuing no penalties against Knaus,Johnson,or Hendrick Motorsports, though they should.
The media's whitewash of the incident is just as disgusting. Either the story, though a major story,is not mentioned at all and if it is,excuses are made for Knaus and Johnson. The media butt kissing of Brian France,Hendrick Motorsports, and the 48 team is inexcusable and unacceptable. The media's job is to report news, good and bad. In this case, they have failed miserably and have been propagandists for the 48 team,Hendrick Motorsports, and those who run NASCAR.
This incident will no doubt cause NASCAR to lose even more fans in addition to the fans the sport has already lost and deservedly so. I have lost all respect for NASCAR as they have shown themselves as having no credibility, really just as bad as Chad Knaus himself. I have just about lost all interest in NASCAR as a fan. I am no longer a serious NASCAR fan but will be a casual observer, much as I was before 2003. I have followed NASCAR for eight years and have been to races. There was a time when it was exciting and unpredictable but now with boring cookie-cutter tracks, brought about largely by the greed of people such as Bruton Smith along with the France family, and the races lacking any real excitement, along with needless "debris" cautions to artificially create "excitement",combined with favoritism of certain drivers and teams, and other factors that are killing this sport,my interest has waned considerably.
The media only hype up certain drivers and ignore the rest of the field. Dale Earnhardt Jr is a mediocre driver who is not nearly the racer his father was. Danica Patrick is overrated because she is female. She only has one win in the Indy Car Series and that was a fluke. What makes anybody think she will do any better in NASCAR? I have nothing against women in racing. I just do not want overrated and over hyped drivers, male or female. Travis Pastrana, Manuel Pena, and Nelson Piquet Jr are also overrated and over hyped.
Goodbye,NASCAR. Sadly, I did not leave you. You left me. You left millions of diehard fans who were deeply committed to NASCAR and loved it but now you have abandoned us for greed, political correctness, mindless lemmings who do not know much about NASCAR or could not care less about it,along with over hyped and overrated racers, favoritism of certain drivers and teams, boring cookie-cutter tracks, and phony debris cautions to artificially create "excitement". NASCAR is beyond hope and is on its way to extinction and deserves it.

Rest In Peace
Sunday was a tragic day in the racing world with the deaths of drivers Dan Wheldon and Rick Huseman. Wheldon was involved in a 15-car crash in the season ending Indy Car race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He was airlifted to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Wheldon was 33 and leaves behind a wife and two young sons.
Dirt track racer Rick Huseman and his brother Jeff were killed in a plane crash. Rick Huseman was on his way from a race he had just completed. He was considered a championship contender.
Wheldon's death serves as a reminder of how most people take racing for granted, with a tragedy such as this reminding us that race car drivers put their lives at risk every time they get out on the track. In Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup series race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, driver Jimmie Johnson's car wrecked in a very nasty crash. Fortunately, Johnson was OK though painful memories of Dale Earnhardt Sr's fatal crash in the 2001 Daytona 500 inevitably come to mind.
The deaths of Dan Wheldon along with Rick and Jeff Huseman serve as reminders that life is fragile and precious. It can be mercilessly snuffed out instantly. This is why we should always be ready to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us,"Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for you know not what a day may bring forth" (Proverbs 27:1). James 4:14 tells us,"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth of a little time, then vanisheth away". Do you know Jesus personally? All it takes is a simple prayer : Lord Jesus,I am a sinner,I have sinned against You. I accept Your death, burial, and Resurrection as full payment for my salvation. I repent of all my sin. Thank You for hearing my prayer. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' Name. Amen".

The Real Tony Stewart? Part 4
More Facebook posts :
As a fan of Tony's for a while I must say I was extremely disappointed by the way he treats his fans. For the first time ever my husband, son and I got pit hot passes and was able to see the race behind the pits. Naturally we sat behind Tony's. When he got off the truck and went to his car he signed autographs for two kids. That was it. I went up to him and asked if I could get a picture, he was extremely rude and looked at me like I was a nusiciance and said, "sweetie, I have a race to get to." I was not the only person he was rude and ignorant too. I understand he deals with this at every race but to be ignorant and rude to people who support him is just inexcusable. I was never so embarrassed and disappointed at the same time. He needs to adjust his attitude or fans will go elsewhere.....This was at the Dover Race this past weekend.....
That stinks I was with a Arca Team with Jimmy Mac Tony just started cup He was same way . Now Bobby& his Brother were great so was Kenny even Harvick Ricky Rudd All the old timer Racers were lot better When it came to outsiders
Maybe He was gonna have bad Day & knew it
Still doesn't justify acting that way towards fans that support him and buy is items. I have met Bobby Labonte before and he was professional and diplomatic person. Tony made me feel like he was doing me a favor by standing in front of me. Please.... He puts his pants on the same way everyone else does. Fans need to know his ignorance!!!!
He needs to take lessons from Bobby Labonte!!!! His former teammate!!!!!!!!
I am asking a favor of Tony Stewart. My brother 54 is one of your biggest fans, he is on hospice and dying. He wishes to see Tony in person before he passes. He doesnt have much time and if possible could he come to meet my brother if for only 5 minuets Please.
I wish you a lot of luck with that. Tony is not very accommodating with his fans!! I hope he sees these posts and re-evaluates the way he treats his fans. Sorry to hear about your brother.
Thank you so much for the input and your concern.
EDITOR'S NOTE : Tony is apparently taking out recent troubles in his personal life on his fans, especially after breaking up with his girlfriend. Tony must start treating fans with more respect or he will lose a lot of fans in addition to the fans he has apparently lost already. My enthusiasm for Tony has lessened after reports of his being rude to fans and hurling insults at the media. I did not want to believe rumors that Tony was rude to his fans. Sadly,it looks more and more like the rumors are true. It's nice being important but it's more important being nice. I guess Tony Stewart missed that. Also, the hiring of over hyped and overrated Danica Patrick made me lose interest even more. Tony,Tony,we hardly knew ye.

Words Of Wisdom
I am of the opinion that giving Danica Patrick a ride is wrong. 1 for a hundred and thirty in indy does not qualify her nor does what amount to a half season in nationwide. Cup is the last "redneck" sport and you suck for caving for the almighty buck. GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES has been long viewed as the last four words in the national anthem and to change that is unforgivable.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Facebook post directed at Tony Stewart. The gentleman has a point. Danica Patrick is a mediocre racer at best. She has only one win in the Indy Car series. What makes anybody think Danica Patrick will do any better in NASCAR? NASCAR in all its greed wants to use Ms.Patrick because she is female. NASCAR and Danica Patrick deserve each other.

The Real Tony Stewart? Part 3
More Facebook accounts of Tony's apparent rudeness :
Doris he (Ryan Newman) is way above Tony. I used to be Tony's biggest fan until I met him in Talladega. He argued with me about why he couldn't give me an autograph. Ryan was very kind and we even talked about how close I live to his hometown.
I used to be Tony's biggest fan too until his bodyguard yanked me thru the line to meet Tony at Eldora while my I was trying to guide my little boy thru the crowd after the race. Tony wouldn't even look up or speak to his fans but he made sure to advertise ahead of time that he was going to be there. On the other hand, Kasey Kahne made time to talk, sign autographs and pose for pictures with anyone. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Ryan in person but I'm sure he's not the diva that Tony Stewart is.
EDITOR'S NOTE: You have read the accounts. Decide for yourself.

An Accurate Observation
This post on Facebook speaks volumes about the media and their love affair with Hendrick Motorsports :
I know I'm just a guy who watches the race from my couch, but I gotta beef... Love how the "experts" claim had Jimmie caught the 22, he would have easily taken home the W... From where I was sitting, had the 48 caught the 22, and the 22 given ANY type of resistance, the 99 was gonna pass'em both! But, that's Hendrick Motor Racing Network for ya :)
EDITOR'S NOTE: I agree with the above post. These self-appointed "experts" are no experts at all, just paid propagandists for Hendrick Motorsports. The only thing more annoying than the media's propagandizing is their arrogance.

The Real Tony Stewart Again?
Tony Stewart gets huffed at reporters who are merely doing their job. According to a Twitter post by NASCAR writer Jeff Gluck, Stewart called the reporters in the media center after he won the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway "idiots" and said ESPN's David Newton was "the biggest (idiot) of all". Stewart also said the AP's Jenna Fryer "can't shut up". This is the second time in as many weeks that Stewart has had a row with the media. Stewart attacked the media at Richmond about "asking the same questions over and over" and hurled insults at Ms.Fryer. I know if I had just won a race,I would be happy, gladly answering questions, and giving credit to my crew chief, pit crew, team, and sponsor or sponsors. While I realize how frustrating and irritating the media can be at times, could you imagine Bobby Labonte, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, or Jimmie Johnson (whom I am no fan of by any stretch) acting this way? Never in a million years. Because these drivers know the reporters are doing their job like the drivers are doing theirs.
I have kept up with Tony Stewart's career since becoming a serious NASCAR fan in 2003 so it pains me as a fan writing this but I cannot sit idly by and condone this sort of behavior.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I agree with Tony Stewart that the media sometimes ask idiotic questions and do it repeatedly, but these are people NASCAR racers must deal with every day and saying nasty things about them does not help matters. Tony had much-publicized issues with his temper in the early 2000s but he has apparently brought his emotions more under control and has been much calmer in recent years. The recent incidents with the media show Tony must work at keeping his emotions in check.

The Real Tony Stewart?
OPlease excuse any misspelled words and incorrect grammar but I left these posts as they originally appeared so you would know it is strictly the opinion of a fan.
From a fan at Atlanta Motor Speedway via Facebook:
"I don't have time" I have to get in this black truck and ride in it for 100 yards and then just sit there. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME us fans took the time to stand sit out there in the rain but you couldn't take a few moments of your time to sign a few autographs. You know I didn't want to believe the stories about what a stuck up snobb you were but today I saw it for my self. Today after your Team Chevy interview you lost a long time fan of yours.
·
At AMS today Tony did a short interview at the Team Chevy booth, me an my wife were right up front, we stood there for 2 hours waiting. got a few good pics but when it was almost over we left and went around to where he would go to his Truck that was waiting for him. Well when it was over he walked back there to get in the truck and when tried to get him to autograph our TEAM CHEVY t-shirts and he said "I don't have time" and just got strait in the truck. But we watched still kind of in shock at how rude he was about it and we saw the truck just pull about 100 yards away and then back into a parking space where he just sat in it for at least a half hour. Really? Tony I didn't want to believe the stories that I have heard about the way he really act toward fans but today I saw it first hand. You truly are arrogant snobb and today you lost a true long time fan.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I hope Tony is not like this all the time but it still distresses me that he would treat fans this way. I had the impression Tony is usually fan-friendly. At appearances such as Office Depot signings, etc, it seems I have read he is quite affable and very warm and friendly. I have read though that Tony can be moody and argumentative at the track.

Has NASCAR Really Lost It This Time?
I know there are those who thought the invocation before the beginning of the Nationwide series race at Nashville Superspeedway last week was amusing but not everybody was laughing, including this writer. The invocation was led by the Rev.Joe Nelms,a Baptist minister.
Prayer is sacred, reverent communication with God. It is not to be entered into lightly. We are not to imitate the world. Jesus told us to come out of the world and be separate and He would receive us unto Himself. We are to set an example for Christ. This includes a reverent acknowledgement of Him. Nelms was apparently trying to mimic the blasphemous drivel uttered by Will Ferrell in "Talladega Nights",a film filled with blasphemy against the Lord Jesus Christ, along with moments definitely far from being family-friendly.
We must acknowledge God in all reverence.
"If My people, which are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, forgive their sin,and heal their land" - 2nd Chronicles 7:14.

The Real State Of NASCAR In 2011
So NASCAR thinks changing the points system they had used since 1975 will now fix everything? Simplifying the points system should make the racing closer and more exciting, at least hopefully it will. NASCAR has deemed that drivers must now choose which championship (Cup,Trucks,or Nationwide) they want. This should end the practice of full-time Cup drivers winning the Nationwide championship. It is another welcome change that should have been made long ago. Despite these positive changes, there are still other things NASCAR should and must do to keep their fans and win back the fans they have lost.
Getting rid of the Chase would be an excellent start, along with getting rid of the "Car Of Tomorrow", both of which have given a questionable advantage to the #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team of driver Jimmie Johnson and his crew chief Chad Knaus, who has been caught cheating on numerous occasions.
Also, scrap political correctness and start racing again. The "Drive For Diversity" program violates the principle of drivers having to earn their positions in NASCAR races by giving preferential treatment to women and non-whites. It is discriminatory against white males. NASCAR's embrace of radical environmentalism is also putting many fans off. Even if it is well-intentioned,it's still evidence of NASCAR's surge to the far left. So-called bio fuels will end up hurting more than helping as stock car engines are not compatible with water-based "bio fuels". "Renewable energy" is a phrase the left uses to attack the American way of life and is code for wanting a bigger government and poorer people, which is what environmental radicals and others on the far left ultimately want in the United States.
I support using renewable energy sources, but this is something that should be left only to the private sector. I also support more drilling for our own oil, even more after the recent upheaval in Egypt, with U.S. reserves richer than Saudi Arabia. Despite the Climate Gate scandal of 2009, which proved even more that human-caused "global warming" is a lie,a myth, and a fraud, most media outlets (showing their leftist bias) have either censored the story or only mentioned it in bits and pieces. NASCAR under Brian France marches in lock-step with the environmental fraud artists. The building of solar panels at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, no matter how well-intentioned it might be, wreaks of NASCAR's embrace of the radical environmental agenda.
As long as NASCAR continues its slide to the political and social left, the sport's decline will continue and its demise likely.

More Evidence Of NASCAR's Sharp Turn To The Left?
I guess it was only a matter of time before NASCAR,which force feeds fans the nonsense of NASCAR not having enough female or minority drivers with its "Drive For Diversity" garbage, would have its official "home improvement warehouse" promoting homosexuality. I say look for Brian France or some other politically correct-minded NASCAR executive to soon introduce a homosexual or lesbian driver in an effort to further "diversify" NASCAR as NASCAR receives money from the Obama regime via GM and other bailout recipients. Another example of NASCAR's move to the left is the implementation of "bio fuels" in stock cars.
Even more outrageously, Home Depot terminates the employment of a God-fearing,patriotic American for wearing a "One Nation Under God" button, while rewarding employees for promoting sinful, deviant, and immoral behavior such as homosexuality. This is further fulfillment of Biblical prophecy that good would be seen as evil and evil seen as good in the end times.
According to the American Family Association,a Christian and pro-family organization, Home Depot (or should that be Homo Depot?) gives large sums of money to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC),a pro-homosexual lobbying organization. Home Depot has been praised by the HRC as a "gay-friendly" company in its efforts to hire more homosexuals, lesbians, and "transgendered" people. The HRC is credited with getting Congress to repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" policy used by the military since the Clinton administration. Home Depot also takes part in homosexual "pride" events and has booths at such events. Now,Home Depot is lying by accusing the AFA of lying when the evidence clearly and plainly and in Home Depot's own words proves the AFA is telling the truth.
This should not surprise anybody. Home Depot has cozied up to left-wing organizations such as the NAACP for many years and has a strong affirmative action policy that ends up discriminating against white males.
I do not want to sound judgmental and it is not my intention to do so,but Home Depot is a major sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing. Joe Gibbs,a former Washington Redskins football coach and JGR founder and owner, and his son J.D. are devout, practicing Christians. It is my opinion since Joe and J.D. Gibbs feel so strongly about their Christian faith, they should no longer accept Home Depot's support because of Home Depot's support of a lifestyle God calls an abomination. A Christian-owned racing team accepting money from Home Depot is like accepting money from the devil, which really,it is.
It is time to blow the trumpet and sound the alarm. We should take a stand against political correctness that promotes sinful and un-Godly behavior and say no more compromise with the devil's crowd.
We should let NASCAR and their corporate sponsors know that we will no longer have any more of their political correctness.
